akbar kamoldinov

hi, i'm akbar. an electrical engineering student at mizzou, originally from uzbekistan. right now i'm in mountain view, silicon valley, working as a software engineer at tensor ai and helping build chatvlm. before coming here, i spent the summer at gft inc helping design substations, part of the electric grid that gets power to your home, factories, data centers, and so on. getting to play with very high voltage equipment was pretty fun.

outside of class and work, i build a lot. it started when i got tired of grinding internship applications, spending hours every day, so i built an agent that applies to jobs and does cold outreach for me. twelve days later it landed me the gft internship, and that agent became hiroo, the startup i'm still building.

beyond hiroo, i experiment with ai a lot, pushing it to its limits and making tons of fun side projects, following paul graham's advice to live in the future and build what seems interesting.

i also read a lot of great writing and share the best of it on my weekly substack. like they say, you learn the most from the greats.

talk to me

i built an ai version of myself on top of my second brain. it knows what i'm building, how i work, and most of what i've written. ask it anything, or use it to get a feel for how i think. chat with akbargpt →

selected work
hiroo
an ai agent that runs your whole job search: it applies across every major ats, does cold outreach for referrals, and follows up. we took it through the yc s26 application and made it to the top 10%.
unicraft
my first startup, cofounded with close friends. a social platform connecting central asian university applicants with students already at harvard, princeton, oxford, and 100+ other universities. grew to 4,000+ monthly active users from 50+ countries. it's also what pushed me to learn to code and build things myself.
second brain
i've been pouring all my knowledge into one digital brain that every claude agent reads from and writes back to. it keeps growing. the plan is to turn it into akbargpt, and you can talk to an early version of it here.
ask paiziev24
akmal paiziev is an entrepreneur i look up to. i wanted him as an advisor for the things i build, so i made an ai clone of him from his interviews, articles, and public writings. turns out a lot of other people find it useful too.
